2025 Chevrolet Suburban Release Date

The 2025 Chevy Suburban will start the proceedings with a 355 horsepower 5.3-liter V8 and move on to 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. At the top of the lineup is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder Duramax® diesel engine with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. You'll be able to equip the new 2025 Suburban with adaptive dampers and an adjustable air suspension system that lets you automatically raise or lower the ride height.

That adjustment can make it easier for passengers to enter the vehicle while also allowing you to increase ground clearance and improve aerodynamics. If you like taking your family off-road, consider the rugged Z71 trim with all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates and a two-speed transfer case that provides a traditional four-wheel drive system. Fuel economy estimates for 2025 haven't been released but it's expected the diesel will give you ratings in the neighborhood of 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

The Chevy Suburban is one of the biggest SUVs you can buy and you'll get a sense of that when you step inside. The three rows can accommodate up to eight passengers or seven with the available second-row captain's chairs. There's enough legroom for everyone even in the third row, something that you don't often find in a three-row SUV. As an extra convenience, the second-row seats can slide back and forth to customize the passenger space.
