2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Release Date

The Chevy Tahoe is a mammoth full-size SUV with a truck-based platform that gives you all the towing capacity you need to pull a large boat or a trailer when you go on vacation. The 2025 edition of the Tahoe is expected to be released later this year and it will continue to have three rows that can accommodate up to eight people. Here are some of the other benefits of the new 2025 Chevy Tahoe that will be arriving before long at Ray Chevrolet in Abbeville, LA.

What's new for 2025?

Chevrolet is giving the Tahoe an understated exterior redesign for 2025 along with a big standard 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen and an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster. The Tahoe will have the same V8 engine options as it did last year and the inline six-cylinder diesel engine will have an increase in both horsepower and torque. There will be several new towing supports including a system to monitor the health of the trailer's tires.

The suspension system has been adjusted to create more comfort and you'll be able to get available air springs on the RST trim in addition to the Z71 and High Country models. Finally, the Tahoe will have new wheel choices including 24-inch options that are the biggest ever available on this SUV.

Trim level highlights

The 2025 Chevy Tahoe will continue to offer a total of six trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country. The Z71 stands out as an excellent choice for families who like to do some occasional off-roading. This trim comes with standard four-wheel drive and exclusive off-road equipment. The High Country trim is the most luxurious and is another excellent option worth considering.

Engines and performance

The new Tahoe for 2025 will have the same proven V8 engines as last year's model. That means you'll still have a choice of a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower or a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard and so does rear-wheel drive but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive. Another powerful choice is a 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder diesel engine with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

The off-road Z71 model includes a two-speed transfer case with traditional four-wheel drive, all-terrain tires and underbody protection. You can get the Z71 with an air spring suspension system that will allow you to raise or lower the ride height, something that can enhance the Tahoe's ability to handle off-road obstacles. The new 2025 Chevy Tahoe will have a maximum towing capacity of 8400 pounds which is almost as much as a full-size pickup.

Interior highlights

The cabin of the full-size Chevy Tahoe feels like an auditorium with three rows of seats and second-row seats that can slide back and forth, making it easier for adults to sit comfortably in the third row. There will also be a big storage bin under the center armrest where you can fit a small backpack. Higher level trims include helpful options like second-row captain's chairs, a power-adjustable steering column and a power rear liftgate. Amenities in the top-tier High Country trim include real wood trim and genuine leather upholstery. Because of the independent rear suspension system the Tahoe has a low, flat load floor and it also gives you up to 123 cubic feet of storage space.
